System Requirements
- macOS 14.0 or later
Setup
- Download and unzip the app from the link below.
- Move the app to your Applications folder.
- Open the app and allow it to run in your security settings if necessary.
- Allow local network access (thats needed to fetch the data from the ICE train).
- Make sure to connect to the ICE Wi-Fi network.
How it works
The app uses the same local network api, as the iceportal to fetch the current speed and other information from the ICE train. The api is unauthenticated and can be accessed by any device connected to the ICE Wi-Fi network. It seems like the api updates the trainspeed around every ~5 seconds, so setting refresh intervals to less than that will not yield any better results other than quicker updates on other metrics like arrival time.
